Is your chosen softball organization a stepping stone, or a destination ??

When choosing a softball organization for your daughter, you must take into consideration what your goals are and where your priorities lie.   When she graduates from high school and packs for college, what do you want her to take with her? 

• The ability to brag to her friends about her/her team's successes on the field
• The ability to tell her future friends all the places she has seen, and people she has met in the pursuit of her sport
• Be fit both mentally and physically
• Show off a wall of trophies
• Have a lot of others she can call friend / family
• Have colleges willing to reduce or fully pay her way in exchange for playing softball at their school while earning her degree/education
• The understanding of what it takes to reach higher goals 

• We won another first place trophy and are the best in our division, then we went out for pizza
• We lost, but I hit a double off the next Jennie Finch
• We didn’t take the trophy, but we earned a chance to play in a televised tournament

• What city was the tournament held in? 
• How many teams did they compete against? 
• Were there any college scouts there to watch the teams play?  
• Did your daughter get to experience anything in that city that she could not have if she had played elsewhere?

California Heat understands that every family must make choices, and that there are many organizations to choose from.   While every organization has the chance to offer the long term friends, a sense of family, and physical fitness,  Do you want her to be the "Big Star" of the area with a wall of trophies to show off and the best college degree your family can afford, maybe being recognized at the mall for years to come, but never having the opportunity to prove that she was good enough to have played with the "Big fish"? or are you ready to sacrifice a few trophies and high fives, in exchange for some miles and experience in her book of life, and an increased chance at a position on a college team that comes with an affordable Large University education and degree and all that that includes?

Although our organization is new, with only a few seasons to take credit for, our staff has been gathered from throughout the Bay area, from various organizations where they have actively participated in the growth of girls careers, earning their participants offers and interest from schools All over the country.  We have the expectations of bigger and brighter opportunities, as we grow and develop a resume of our own, and before long with hard work and hopefully not too many bruises, Together, we will be able to say with pride “I am with California Heat”, rather than “I was formerly with ______”
